Hello D131 Faculty and Staff,

Happy Holidays! I hope you are enjoying wellness and health during Winter Break 2020. As we continue to monitor the impact of the pandemic, we would like to provide you with the most recent EASD 131 COVID-19 updates. Review the guidelines provided below and adhere to the following:

 Staff returning to buildings on January 4, 2021 and thereafter will need to complete a daily self-certification form in the main office or front desk upon reporting to work.
 Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) has not been renewed by the federal government and will therefore end on December 31, 2020. Any days used related to COVID-19 will no longer be treated different than any other absences including being deducted from sick, personal, or vacation days based on your position.
 We continue to follow all Illinois Department Public Health (IDPH) and Kane County Health Department (KCHD) close contact, symptom and travel quarantine guidelines as well as isolation protocols. See the following CDC link for more information on Safe New Year’s Eve and Travel as you prepare to return.

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/daily-life-coping/holidays/new-years-eve.html#safer

Per CDC and IDPH: If you have traveled outside of the country, self- certify, monitor yourself for symptoms and it is highly recommended that you get a Covid -19 test after four days following your return.

The district will also be partnering with the VNA Healthcare System for antigen covid-19 testing for symptomatic staff. We are also awaiting the covid-19 vaccinations for those who selected yes in the survey. More information to come.
